Megan Thee Stallion delivered her ruthless new single, “Hiss.”
Clocking in at just a little over three minutes, the Houston Hottie prefaces the song by cussing out her disparagers and stepping into her power. “Hiss” is a reminder that her detractors only get their fame and attention because her name is attached to theirs, and hears Megan transform their negativity self-confidence.
“Hiss” is released after November 2023’s “Cobra,” which marked her first release since settling the lawsuit with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. Both tracks follow a snake theme, and can represent Megan shedding her old skin to reveal a stronger and more powerful woman. She’s moved past the controversies and hate that resulted in her own personal struggles over the past few years, and she’s letting her music and new ventures speak for her.
