Megan Thee Stallion is officially back with her latest single, “Cobra.”

Clocking in at just under three minutes, the track marks the Houston Hottie’s first release since settling the lawsuit with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. “Cobra” is the first single to be released on Megan’s independent music and entertainment entity Hot Girl Productions and hears her open up about rising above the private and public struggles she’s been facing the past few years. She also notes that just like a cobra, she’s shedding her old skin and is ready to takeover the game once again.

Although she has yet to officially announce a new album, her Good News followup is expected to be completely self-funded after finally parting ways with 1501 after a lengthy four-year legal battle.

Elsewhere in music, J. Cole confirmed that his collaborative album with Kendrick Lamar was once a “real thing.”
