Crenshaw Skate Club Pays Homage to South Central in Winter 2024 Collection
Combining cut-and-sew knitwear and classic graphics.
Crenshaw Skate Club has officially revealed its first foray of 2024. For its Winter 2024 collection, the Cali-born-and-bred label is serving up a versatile range of pieces, spanning cut-and-sew pieces and casual-wear classics.
In true Crenshaw Skate Club fashion, the label uses the new collection and its corresponding campaign to show some love to its very own South Central streets – literally, “weaving their roots” into the fabrics of the capsule, a press release notes.
“I am so proud of this collection, and I am honored to be able to continue to expand the range of items that can serve as canvases to display CSC’s message,” adds Crenshaw Skate Club founder Tobey McIntosh.
The label has presented a diverse range of pieces, led by a pink-sleeved varsity jacket, complete with pink snap buttoning down the middle and CSC lettering on the back. Elsewhere, the label ups its graphics game once again, stamping graffiti-inspired prints – one reading “For Empowerment in South Central!” – on heavyweight hoodies and tees.
Knitwear also offers a subtle nod to SoCal, with the Map Cardigan inspired by the maps at the Metro Rail Stations – key to McIntosh’s early memories of skating around the city.
