Rihanna kept us waiting nearly a year after RZA’s birth to reveal the name of her first child. Nearly a month after she gave birth to her and A$AP Rocky‘s second child, she is letting it be known that the power couple’s second son is rocking another R-name: Riot Rose Mayers.

The duo welcomed Riot in early August in Los Angeles, and at the time, had no immediate plans “to debut the new baby”, a source told Entertainment Tonight. In a birth certificate obtained by The Blast, “the baby was born on August 1, 2023, inside Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m” – two days prior to the August 3 date TMZ reported.

Both Riot and RZA’s names possess personal ties to their rapper father. RZA Athelson Mayers’ name was revealed just a few days ahead of his first birthday; he shares a middle name with Rocky, whose full name is Rakim Athelson Mayer. As for Riot, the NYC rapper dropped Pharrell-produced track “Riot” earlier this summer.

Rihanna has kept her fans fed this week – also announcing the revival of her Fenty X PUMA collab ahead of the start of New York Fashion Week.
