Balenciaga Opens Order to Motocross Boot From Fall 2023 Runway
The shoe dominated the brand’s FW23 runway in Paris.
When Balenciaga returned to Paris to showcase its Fall 2023 collection, it did so in a motocross-inspired style. Against Demna’s toned-down, largely monochromatic looks, one particular aspect stood out: oversized biker boots.
The label has now rolled out its Men’s Biker Boot to the masses. Available for pre-order on its website, the made-in-Italy boot comes in both calfskin and TPU, the flexible plastic material thermoplastic polyurethane.
As demonstrated on the runway, the boot is taller than most, reaching beyond mid-calf to end just a few inches below the knee. The front features a panel of horizontally stitched quilt cutout, surrounded by layers of leather paneling. Notably, the toe ends in a distinct point.
Thankfully, the boot has a hidden zip enclosure, making it easier than it seems to slip them on. The Balenciaga logo appears on the exterior and in a debossed version on the front of the shoe. Both the calfskin and TPU editions are brushed with a worn-out effect, which is most noticeable on the cream colorway. The biker boot also comes in a red, black and white colorway and in a solid black.
Balenciaga’s Men’s Biker Boot is open for pre-order, priced at $3,365 USD (£4,200 GBP).
