Brooklyn-based vinyl purveyor Blue-Sun and Tokyo’s Kuumba International have joined forces for a collaborative capsule. Made up of two Champion reverse weave hoodies, a duo of T-shirts, mesh Champion shorts, a pair of branded tote bags and even a custom incense scent, the offerings are both a nod to unique the ambience provided by listening to your music on vinyl and an acknowledgement of Blue-Sun’s status as the only official Kuumba stockist in the US.

Each piece of apparel was printed by LQQK Studio and boasts custom Kuumba International/Blue-Sun graphics that acknowledge the two’s long-standing partnership. Blue-Sun’s logo is overlaid with Kuumba International’s familiar text hits, and sharp-eyed Kuumba International fans will also notice that where the Kuumba International hit would usually read “Designers Incense,” it instead states “Record Store Incense.”

“Our partnership started when I met Eiji [Koyama, Kuumba International founder] at the Kuumba International store in Tokyo,” said Blue-Sun founder Billy. “The vibes were aligned, and I was able to gain his trust to carry the product in the US. Since we’re the only official Kuumba International stockist in the country, it only made sense for us to make a custom scent.”

The Kuumba International x Blue-Sun collection is available now via the Blue-Sun webstore, and will release at the Kuumba International store in Tokyo tomorrow, September 2. Prices range from $14-$105 USD.

Elsewhere in the world of collaborative goods, Tekla and Stüssy have delivered yet another cozy collab.
