Concepts to Release New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack" Early

Available in four different colorways, all featuring utility updates like a ripstop base layer and toggle laces.

The latest iteration of the New Balance 2002R “Protection Pack,” first revealed in mid-July, is now expected to receive a primary release via Concepts on September 21, ahead of its global release.

Further teasing the four pairs found in the pack, Concepts released images of a shoot taken a the prestigious Boston Athenaeum, a museum and private library that is dedicated to protecting and preserving art, literature and other archives from the 1800s to current times.

The four pairs, inspired by New Balanace’s MR2002 high-end running shoe of 2010 come equipped with a more technical approach this time around. Available in Sail, Navy, Tan and Olive, the latest Protection Pack examples feature durable ripstop base layers and utility-inspired toggle laces.

New Balance’s latest Protection Pack pairs will retail at $180 USD each, primarily available via Concepts’ official site on September 21, to be followed by a global release on New Balance’s official site.
