Disney+ has dropped off the official teaser for its upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, starring Walker Scobell in the titular role. The action-adventure fantasy series, which also stars Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, is scheduled to premiere with eight episodes this December.

Here’s the official logline: “‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson (Scobell), who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover (Simhadri) and Annabeth (Jeffries), Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.”

The series is directed by James Bobin, based on a script written by Percy Jackson author Rick Riordan and Jon Steinberg. Additional cast members include Adam Copeland as Ares, god of War, Suzanne Cryer as Echidna, The Mother of Monsters, and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Medusa.

The first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is scheduled to premiere on December 20. Watch the official teaser above.

In more entertainment news, Wes Anderson has more adaptations of Roald Dahl’s stories.
