In the spirit of fine sportscars, Porsche has revealed its new special edition 2024 911 S/T.

The new vehicle was created in celebration of the 911’s 60th anniversary – one of the automaker’s most beloved model lineups. Always with performance in mind, the car fuses the highlights of the 911 GT3 with Touring Package and the 911 GT3 RS. As such, the car features a 4.0-liter boxer engine with 518 hp and a top engine speed of 9,000 rpm. Aside from speed, what also stands out about the car is it being the lightest 911 of the generation with a weight of 3,056 lbs – making it 70 lbs lighter than a manual GT3 Touring.

Coupled with this feat is a lightweight clutch and shortened constant axle ratio. Details that cater to the car’s lightweight design are: using carbon fiber reinforced plastic on the hood, roof, front fenders, doors rear axle anti-roll bar and shear panel. Additionally, the car includes magnesium wheels, Porsche’s Ceramic Composite Brake system, lightweight glass, reduced insulation and a lithium-ion starter battery.

Aside from classic shades, the anniversary model includes an optional Heritage Design Package, which is inspired by the racing version of the 911 from the late 60s/early 70s. The new model is limited to 1,963 cars.

The 2024 Porsche 911 S/T is set to make its U.S. debut at the Rennsport Reunion 7.
