Earlier this summer, Nike CEO John Donahoe confirmed on the company’s Q4 earnings call that the brand is set to relaunch Kobe Bryant‘s signature line on Kobe Day 2023. And ahead of the Black Mamba collection’s return, the Beaverton-based brand’s basketball division has announced that it will be unveiling a new sneaker via SNKRS “Live from the Archive” in North America only on August 10.

The Swoosh’s hoops team took to Instagram to preview the kicks with a short black-and-white video clip that sees the sneakers suspended above a basketball. It’s unclear if this will be a new silhouette, but by the looks of the teaser, there’s a chance that it could be a new Kobe 8 colorway given that the shoe’s low profile, shape and heel cage are similar. Sitting below the kicks is a clock that who’s numbers are turning until they reach “08:23:23” — one day prior to Bryant’s brand relaunch — along with the official Nike Kobe logo underneath.

If you’re based in North America, be sure to stay tuned into the SNKRS app tomorrow to watch the official unveiling and learn of its release details.
