American Red Cross and Eric Emanuel Reveal New Shorts Collab for Their Second Annual Blood Drive in Atlanta
All blood donors can receive a free pair of shorts.

For the second year in a row, Eric Emanuel and The American Red Cross are joining hands for another blood drive to help raise awareness for the need of blood and encourage the younger generation to donate. This summer, The Red Cross has a significant drop in blood donations and this drive is aimed to help keep the national blood supply from falling to shortage levels. The event will be held on August 17, 2023 in Atlanta, and those that participate will receive a free pair of collaborative shorts.
The mesh-infused garment is styled with a faded red base and features all-over circular patterns that resemble the aesthetic of blood cells. The right thigh is styled with the American Red Cross insignia while the left side is accessorized with Emanuel’s signature “EE” logo.
“When The Red Cross approached me with this idea to help change the narrative around donating blood, I was immediately eager to engage my community”, said Emanuel, New York City-based streetwear designer. “I release product every Friday at my store in NYC, which typically generates a line of customers around the block. It will be really incredible to see that same line of supporters lined up to donate blood instead.”
Parties interested in joining in on the action can find more info via redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code DROPATL for details about the blood drive.
