CDG x The North Face Deliver Functional and Freeing Outerwear Collab
Including jackets, hoodies and accessories.
Two of the most seasoned collaborators in their respective realms – COMME des GARÇONS’s diffusion line, CDG, and The North Face – are joining forces for a ready-to-wear range of outerwear. The collaboration sees uplifting CDG slogans reimagined on a slew of archetypical North Face silhouettes, paying homage to the boundless beauty in exploring the great outdoors.
Tried-and-true The North Face styles – the Nuptse Vest, Denali Fleece Jacket, and Hydrenaline Jacket and Pant – are all reworked with a simple yet playful CDG spin, while still remaining somewhat minimal in design detail. CDG’s “Wear Your Freedom” and “My Energy Comes from Freedom” slogans are imprinted along the interior of the jackets and vest, which also feature subtle CDG and The North Face branding stamped in the top corner as well as on the back.
Hoodies remain rather subtle in design, solely featuring the double logos on both black and white silhouettes. This same design is mirrored on the collection’s t-shirts, available in the same colors. Accessories include an adjustable cap and a crossbody bag, both of which are available in a black colorway with white embroidered logos. The collection’s prices range from $60 USD to $400 USD, and will be available to purchase beginning next Tuesday, August 22, at select The North Face, Dover Street Market and CDG stores worldwide, as well as at a special pop-up at Galeries Lafayette Paris for a limited amount of time; an Asia release is expected to come in October. The collection will also be available to shop on CDG’s webstore and The North Face’s webstore for XPLR Pass members only.
