Swatch Launches BIG BOLD IRONY Timepieces With Stainless Steel Finishes
Building on its world-first bioceramic timepieces released in April 2021.
After releasing its BIG BOLD timepiece in bioceramic material in April 2021, Swatch has returned to update the model with a new slate of “IRONY” finishes, featuring statement-making colors, stainless steel casings and standout details.
The newest time-tellers, which still utilize Swatch’s world-first bioceramic material (a mix of ceramic and a bioplastic produced using castor oil), arrive in five new tones: Mint Trim, Azure Blue Daze, Dark Irony, Red Juicy and Bolden Yellow.
Each watch boasts an oversized construction, with a black open dial and glow-in-the-dark hands comfortably fitted inside a metal sandblasted case. The rounded, big-face timepieces feature quartz movement, meaning they operate with a battery as their primary power source, and a water resistance of three bar, which protects the device from rain, sweat and minimal splashes of water.
Rounding out the specs, the latest Swatch models reside on durable structured straps with dual loops, featuring half-buckles and stainless steel clasps. For all, the strap appears in an identical color to the dial.
Swatch’s all-new BIG BOLD IRONY timepieces are now available to shop on the brand’s webstore for $195 USD. Take a look at the collection in the gallery above.
Elsewhere in watches, Christopher Ward’s bestselling Deep-Sea Diver is now available in bronze.
