Louis Vuitton is entering a new era. After the Parisian label appointed Pharrell Williams as its latest Creative Director, fashion fanatics worldwide anticipated something big. That was precisely delivered, seeing Pharrell’s runway debut amass over 1 Billion views during Paris Fashion Week.
Louis Vuitton bids farewell to the past with its Fall 2024 menswear collection designed by the Studio Prêt-à-Porter Homme team ahead of Pharrell’s entrance. Fall 2024 reimagines workforce uniforms for rebellious attendees across a hybrid wardrobe.
The collection balances work and play across transitional designs with formal and sportswear codes. Louis Vuitton’s quintessential Epi leather receives slashed indentations that emulate corduroy fabrics, presented across collared pilot jackets, down-filled bombers, and voluminous oceanic suiting.
The brand’s classic monogram is pressed into padded outerwear, while clean technical jackets receive similar patterns beneath. Uneven linear graphics continue to dominate cinched track jackets and shorts, blending into wool vests with unconventional LV branding. Models bring ruthless attitudes to traditional office spaces, carrying chairs and throwing papers in the air wearing workwear-inspired denim sets decorated with botanical artwork.
Louis Vuitton’s Epi leather materializes into Maxi Epi textures applied to the Alma bowling bag, Christopher backpack, Polochon tube bag, Monceau shoulder bag, and Steamer bag. Some receive sunken dents, while others are distorted in olive-green, light blue, and taupe hues.
As for footwear, LV Discovery motifs influence colossal sneaker soles, while the LV Pacific slip-on boasts shaggy suede chukka uppers and protective Damier lining.
