Living in a city and loving golf can be a complicated relationship. Especially when you live in New York City. Karsten Jurkschat, who launched a golf apparel and accessories brand called Gumtree Golf & Nature Club in 2020, can tell you that first hand. He’s originally from Australia, but has resided in Brooklyn for some time now.

Everything about the brand is inspired by nature and the sense of calm it brings to people whose days are otherwise filled with crowded subway rides, humming window AC units and wailing police sirens. And this consideration for nature carries through into the way Jurkschat sources and designs all of his products.

Each drop from GGNC is different from the last, and highly limited. For the previous release, Jurkschat sourced his materials from a farm tent in Vermont to create a small batch of headcovers, each one completely unique.

For the latest release, called the State Flower Collection, Jurkschat gathered state flower patches from vintage textiles found across America and embroidered them onto a batch of 20 Japanese lace linen shirts. Similar to the farm tent drop, each shirt is entirely one-of-a-kind. Looking at the details, the shirts button down all the way, feature a breezy camp collar design and each have a different patch embroidered on the left hip.

In addition to the linen shirts, the brand has also prepared heavyweight cotton tees that continue the state flower theme. On the back of these tees is a reference chart listing the official flower of every state from Alabama through Wyoming, printed in green. Rounding out the offerings is an unstructured five panel, high crown trucker hat in a matching shade of cream, as well as an oversized tote.

The full collection releases at 6PM EST on Tuesday, July 18 online through GGNC.

In other golf news, TRENDYGOLF and RLX Golf have launched a capsule collection for the Open Championship.
