Givenchy has revealed its new global campaign for the Fall/Winter 2023 men’s collection. But to bring the campaign to life, the French house enlisted K-Pop star, Taeyang.
Shot in Seoul by creative director Matthew M. Williams, the new campaign sees Givenchy’s cadence of masculinity embedded with sharp lines and striking silhouettes take from. The most important aspect of the collection is its attention to tailored codes, but specifically how Williams adds a contemporary edge. The images reveal select pieces that hone in on subtle, monochrome detailing through a tailored black suit, a turtleneck sweater, an Earth green overcoat the G Tears gold-finish necklace and more.
“Taeyang is a friend, and to me his creativity and personal values make him an ideal ambassador for Givenchy,” said Matthew M. Williams. “You can feel his presence: he has this easy, modern elegance and an edge — he clearly feels comfortable in the clothes and really personifies the house’s new aesthetic.”
