Our Legacy WORK SHOP Taps Winemaker Gabrio Bini for an Already Selling-Out Collaboration
Natural wine and tiny little glasses, anyone?
Former Milanese architect-turned-vineyard owner and winemaker Gabrio Bini is the IYKYK name behind a truly unique section of the wine game. Living and working on Pantelleria, a small volcanic island that’s situated between Sicily and Tunisia, Bini is capable of making wines so specific and precise to this particular region, identified by its natural properties. It’s also turned Bini into a bit of a legend in the wine scene, something Our Legacy WORK SHOP evidently understands with this new collaboration.
In tapping Bini, and subsequently his brand Serragghia, Our Legacy WORK SHOP shows that it really knows its audience. It’s the kind of cultural movement that wears the brand, drinks natural wine, rides a fixed-speed bicycle, and frequents Socks House Meeting for a moment of self-deprecating humor.
For the collaboration, there is of course a bottle of wine. It starts life as Serragghia Zibibbo Bianco 2021, or to natural wine nerds, “il freccione,” “the big arrow,” per its sculptural logo on the bottle. Made by Gabrio and his son Giotto Bini, the wine is a Vino Secco and now comes as an Our Legacy WORK SHOP-customized wine.
Elsewhere, Our Legacy WORK SHOP drops a gray T-shirt that combines its Yin Yang logo with the aforementioned big arrow motif, as well as a selection of sunglasses in black, green, blue, or pink. The design is handcrafted in Portugal and made from residual Italian Mazzuchelli acetate and Carl Zeiss Vision lenses. A laser-engraved Yin Yang logo, temple tips rubber coated by hand, and a handmade vegetable-tanned leather case all complete the pairs.
Rounding out the collaborative effort is a rather fitting cork screw, made and dyed by hand using recycled wood, and produced by the artist Fredrik Paulsen.
