Netflix Shares First Official Trailer of ‘Castlevania: Nocturne’
Set to premiere this September.
Netflix first announced that a Castlevania spinoff series is on its way last June. Now, the streaming service has finally unveiled the official teaser trailer for the much-anticipated Castlevania: Nocturne.
Following the success of Frederator Studios’ acclaimed animated series, it was speculated that Netflix wanted to create a new series within the same universe. The original Castlevania animated series was based on Konami’s video game series of the same name. Throughout its four-season run, the show followed the events surrounding Alucard, Trevor Belmont, and Sypha Belnades, covering important storylines from various titles of the game franchise.
The soon-to-be-released Castlevania: Nocturne centers around Richter Belmont, a vampire hunter and a descendant of Trevor Belmont. Setting scene during the French Revolution, Castlevania: Nocturne will follow the events in the Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night games. Kevin Kolde will serve as the series’ showrunner, alongside creator and writer Clive Bradley. The series will be animated by Project 51 Productions with the help of Powerhouse Animation.
Castlevania: Nocturne is set to premiere on September 28. In the meantime, enjoy the official trailer above.
