The ‘Depp v. Heard' Docuseries Is Coming to Netflix Soon
Arriving on August 16.
Netflix had revealed the official trailer for its upcoming docuseries Depp v. Heard. It’s been over one year since Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case has come to an end. The grueling, six-week-long trial was televised live at the time, which had stirred up a storm among the press and social media.
The docuseries is directed by Emma Cooper, who previously headed Netflix’s The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes documentary, in which she explored the mystery surrounding the Hollywood icon’s death. Based on the Depp v. Heard trailer, the docuseries will look into the effects and impact the case had on the mass public. The official synopsis reads:
Depp v Heard examines the infamous defamation case that captured the world’s attention as the first Trial by TikTok and questions the nature of truth and the role it plays in our modern society.
