Following the taping of the show’s 41st season.

Pat Sajak has hosted Wheel of Fortune for over 40 years, having held the position since 1981, earning 19 Emmy Award nominations throughout the decades. It now seems that someone else will be filling the shoes of the beloved game show host.
Sajak, 76, has announced that he’ll be retiring from his duties as Wheel of Fortune host next year.
“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” Sajak said. “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months.”
