Oris Readies the Aquis Small Second Date in a New Case Size
Measuring 45.5mm in diameter.

Oris is expanding its lineup for its evergreen and perennially bestselling Aquis model. The latest iteration introduces a whole-new case size for the time and date-only version of the model, which now measures 45.5mm in diameter.
Starring the brand’s classic deep blue dial, the new timepiece also comes with a few other updates. The diver model is now capable of withstanding up to 500 meters underwater, which is an impressive upgrade from the usual 300 meters previous Aquis Date watches possess. The date display has now moved from its usual 6 o’clock mark to the new 3 o’clock position. Moreover, a small seconds subdial has also been added around the 9 o’clock direction.
Powered by the in-house calibre 743, the new Aquis model is equipped with 41 hours of power reserve, while the general gist of it remains pretty faithful to the series as it still includes a screw-down crown, uni-directional rotating bezel with matching ceramic insert, as well as corresponding metal and rubber strap options.
Available via Oris later this month, the new Aquis Small Second Date will retail for $2,700 USD in the rubber strap version, while the metal bracelet variation will be priced at $2,900 USD.
Elsewhere in watches, Spinnaker and Marine Conservation Society are releasing a limited-edition watch capsule.
