Artisans de Genève Transforms a Patek Philippe Aquanaut With an Autumnal Openworked Dial
Introducing the “Caumasee”.

The latest creation by Artisans de Genève is the “Caumasee”, an intricate openworked piece transformed from a Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A.
The Swiss-based, independent watchmaking workshop is known for its unique and handcrafted horology customizations, as well as restoration services. For “Caumasee,” the client wanted to recreate the feeling he experienced from a hot air balloon flight over Lake Caumasee. During this flight, he wore this particular Aquanaut reference. As a commemoration, he had reached out to the workshop to bring the dazzling landscapes onto the timepiece.
The Aquanaut’s signature embossed dial is replaced with a colorful openworked design, starring an entirely skeletonized 324 movement. Doused in royal ebony, rose gold, and almond blue hues, the timepiece invokes a gentle autumnal mood that nods to the season of the owner’s memorable hot balloon flight.
For the “Caumasee,” the entire project costs CHF 62,520 (approximately $68,930 USD). Get a closer look at the timepiece in the gallery above, and head over to its dedicated webpage to read more. Every case by Artisans de Genève is uniquely priced depending on the nature of the customization. Those who are interested can enquire via the workshop’s official website.
