Berluti SS24 Finds the Power in Archetypal Menswear
The collection centers fine textile combinations, quintessential leather and lightweight constructions across two chapters.
For Spring/Summer 2024, Berluti puts forth a modern lineup of timeless menswear cuts, anchored in the traditions of its own centuries-spanning genetics. In two chapters, titled “Vibrant Luxury” and “Iconic Summer,” the Parisian label effectively articulates its age-old codes through updated artisanal practices.
In the former installment, Berluti spotlights a fusion of fine textiles and quintessential leather. Among the standouts, a petrol-blue charbonnier jacket combines suede with tech wool, while a sand-hued military jacket juxtaposes suede with cotton. A navy windbreaker, meanwhile, offers a lightweight outerwear alternative for warmer weather, and a knitted coat similarly opts for minimal insulation with a cotton-silk construction. Rounding out the first chapter’s highlights, the B Volute loafer and the 48-hour bag both employ Berluti’s archival iron moulure iconography atop grained leather.
For “Iconic Summer,” Berluti prioritizes agile silhouettes. Among them, linen suits opt for overdyed appearances; buoyant trousers stand out in strong blue shades, and navy blousons appeal to the label’s traditions of generational formalwear. Berluti’s signature Scritto pattern plants itself on the pockets of linen shirts and the B logo decorates knitwear as embroidery. Footwear includes a knitted sandal version of the brand’s Shadow sneaker, as well as the rubber-soled Playtime sneakers.
Overall, Berluti’s SS24 collection is a testament to the long-standing success of its archetypal menswear and its roots in everyday savoir-faire.
