Belgian fashion designer Walter Van Beirendonck is known for his signature of subverting the uncanny and wonky in his high-energy fashion designs. Now, the designer is adding a side of kink to his piece with the release of his new jockstrap-inspired masks.

The masks originally debuted at the designer’s SS23 runway show, which presented a theatrical take on kinky renaissance fashion – filled with Shakespearean ruffles, patent leather, gladiator detailing and more. Coming in vibrant orange and black, the Jock Masks reworks the ribbed knit fabrication and detailing of the classic jockstrap. It features wrap-around style criss-cross back straps, a removable mouth pouch piece and eye cut-outs.

The mask covers the majority of the head with the exception of a hair cut-out. Finishing off the mask is an adjustable fit.

Take a look at the masks in the gallery above. Retailing for $445 USD, Walter Van Beirendonck’s SS23 Jock Masks are available now at H. Lorenzo.

In related news, Stranger Things actor Caleb McLaughlin is the newest Dior Beauty ambassador.
