Entering 2023’s fifth month, Nike has revealed its cards. Placing a bet on woven sneakers catching a stride, models such as the ACG Watercat+ and Air Footscape Woven are making a return alongside woven versions of collaborations on the Waffle sneaker and Air Jordan 1 High. Looking closer at the ACG Watercat+, it has appeared in a newly-released “Court Purple” and now continues its run with a similarly-colored “University Gold.”

Designed to be a quick-drying shoe, the Watercat+ features a woven upper with sizable gaps in its presentation. Non-wicking cords are utilized alongside a quick-entry lacing system that makes its use seamless. Underneath, a sturdy sole unit features undulating lugs at the rubber outsole. This color arrangement puts its signature gold hue at the fore with hits of black appearing at the sole, heel and tongue.

While several Nike ACG Watercat+ colorways have been scheduled for launch, no information regarding the “University Gold” look has surfaced just yet. Look for it to land on shelves in the coming months via Nike and select retailers at a price of $125 USD.

For more of the latest and greatest in the footwear space, the Nike Air Footscape Woven is making its return this year — appearing in a faux fur-equipped “Black/Smoke Grey” colorway.
