FIFA on Wednesday revealed the official logo for the 2026 World Cup, kicking off the multi-year campaign toward the next iteration of the global soccer tournament, which will take place in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino presented the new logo alongside two-time World Cup winner Ronaldo Nazário at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, revealing an image of the real-life FIFA World Cup trophy juxtaposed on top of the number “26.”

In tandem with the logo’s official reveal, Infantino ushered in the official “WE ARE 26” campaign, which looks to inspire “people, places and communities” to get excited about the forthcoming tournament. “WE ARE 26 is a rallying cry,” Infantino said in a statement. “It’s a moment when three countries and an entire continent collectively say: ‘We are united as one to welcome the world and deliver the biggest, best and most inclusive FIFA World Cup ever.’”

“The tournament will enable each host country and participating team to write their own page in the history books of FIFA World Cups, and this unique brand is a major step on that road to 2026,” he added.

Per Infantino, each of the 16 host cities will receive their own unique logos, with specific colors and additional iconography to signify the unique attributes of each place.

“While we celebrate here in LA together tonight, an entire continent celebrates that the whole world will unite in North America for the greatest show on Earth in just three years’ time,” said Infantino.

In more sports news, Conor McGregor vowed to claim the all-time UFC knockout record.
