Ed Sheeran's 'Subtract' Is The Fastest-Selling Album of 2023 So Far

British artist Ed Sheeran dropped his fifth studio album Subtract earlier this month and has already earned record-breaking status.
As the final installment in Sheeran’s mathematical albums, the somber release sees the musician speaks on his experience with “fear, depression, and anxiety.” Subtract has already become the fastest-selling record of 2023, marking Sheeran’s sixth number one production.
In the past week, Subtract gathered over 56,000 chart units — more than any other album this year. The album is slated to claim the top spot on the Official Albums Charts after achieving his 14th chart-topper on the Official Singles Chart with “Eyes Closed.”
