Y-3 Explores “Technical Effortlessness” for SS23 Chapter 2

With a contemporary utilitarian cadence.

This past January, Y-3 revealed Chapter 1 of its SS23 collection, which offered a take on destructed elegance. Now, the brainchild brand of adidas and Yohji Yamamoto has presented Chapter 2 of its SS23 collection.

Titled “Technical Effortlessness,” the collection reimagines its signature silhouettes with fresh, yet functional design details. As such, the SS23 collection at large takes Y-3 in a new direction as it redefines what its style can be. The new chapter takes its inspiration from Yamamoto’s utilitarian workwear garments, which adorn pieces like contemporary suiting, cargo pants and outerwear.

Another collection signature is relaxed, yet structured silhouettes that appear with subverted tracksuits, wide pants and almost floor-length coats. As usual, black remains a key color. However, cuts of midnight blue and coral also permeate the garments. Elsewhere in the collection is a selection of weather-ready footwear and hats.

Take a look at the offering in the gallery above. Chapter 2 of Y-3’s SS23 collection is set to release on Friday, April 7 online and at Y-3 stores.

In other news, anOnlyChild’s SS23 campaign harmonizes poise and cultural reverence.
