Nike's New Pegasus 40 Makes Everyday Running Comfortable
Designed with two Zoom Air units at the forefoot and heel.
Nike has just presented its Pegasus 40, the new addition to the Swoosh’s performance family that looks to make everyday running comfortable and enjoyable.
Just like previous editions to come from the Pegasus line, this new sneaker to hit the tracks has the same strong responsiveness for the wearer’s foot, with Nike paying further attention to the comfortable detailing across the arch and toe sections of the silhouette. With this in mind, the sneaker has been reimagined with a new mid-foot band, making running feel forgiving for those who run with more weight in their strides.
Additionally, the upper is also coated in new mesh fabrications, while its traditional sandwich layering provides a more adjustable fit. Increased foam has been applied to the collar and the internal linings are also complemented with further padding, similar to the comfortability felt throughout the Nike Pegasus 39.
Propulsive cushioning is then used to provide a smoother ride throughout the midsole and this sits alongside the two much-welcomed Zoom Air units at the forefoot and the heel, offering a much more energized feel than the sneaker’s predecessor.
