Mac DeMarco has unleashed a massive collection of instrumental tracks onto fans. The artist spontaneously released a stockpile of 199 songs under the set name One Wayne G.

While DeMarco didn’t elaborate on what provoked the release – which spans over nine hours of playtime – he shared that the collection takes its name from the hockey player Wayne Gretzky.

“There is only One Wayne G,” the singer captioned a photo of Gretzky, shared to his Instagram Story.

Gretzky played for the Edmonton Oilers, the same town DeMarco is from, and led the team to win four Stanley Cups over the course of his 20 years in the National Hockey League.

One Wayne G follows up another instrumental collection of DeMarco’s, Five Easy Hot Dogs. That EP dropped in January and was recorded over the course of his cross-country road trip. DeMarco will perform a handful of shows in support of Five Easy Hot Dogs later this summer.
