See Jennifer Lopez Star as a Former Assassin in Trailer for Netflix Action Flick ‘The Mother’
Ultimately forced to come out of hiding to save her young daughter.
Jennifer Lopez will do anything to save her daughter in Netflix’s upcoming action film, The Mother. The actress and singer portrays a military-trained assassin, who cut a deal with the FBI years earlier that allowed her to go into hiding in the Alaskan wilderness but simultaneously forced her to give up her daughter.
Years later, when the daughter she’s never met is kidnapped, she’s forced to come out of hiding and hunt down the men who took her.
Netflix has shared a first look at the new movie, previewing Lopez’s character, simply known as “The Mother,” and her action-ready skillset.
Lucy Paez plays her 12-year-old daughter, who she must teach to fight for herself. Additional members of the main cast include Paul Raci, Joseph Fiennes, Gael García Bernal and Omari Hardwick.
The Mother is directed by Niki Caro, who is also behind 2020’s live-action Mulan.
