Looking to expand the game for a new generation of fans, Converse partners with Liverpool FC for the duo’s first-ever capsule collection. The series features nine pieces including a previously teased Chuck 70, woven heritage varsity jacket, polo, tracksuit, and more celebrating the diverse nature of the club’s supporters.
The special-edition Chuck 70 high-top sneakers are adorned with the club’s motifs including Liver birds, sea holly, and YNWA while the woven heritage varsity jacket bears special references to the 1984 European Cup finals ticket where the team beat Roma on penalties. Other introductions include a bucket hat, Run Star Hike sneakers, and graphic tees.
“The city as a whole is very accepting of everyone with different backgrounds, people brought up in different ways,” says LFC defender Andy Robertson. “We see that day to day with our club staff, and we see it week to week with the fans coming through the turnstiles. As a city, it’s amazing what they do, but as a club, they’ve followed in the footsteps. Liverpool is open to everyone.”
