Czapek and Collective Horology’s collaborative timepiece, the Antarctique P.04 “Lanikai” is the result of three years worth of rigorous designing, prototyping, and creative development between the two parties and its manufacturing partners.

Owing its name to a Hawaiian beach, this special sports watch features a tantalizing enamel dial that recreates the radiant shorelines of Lanikai. Speaking on the watch’s design inspiration, Gabe Reilly, the co-founder of Collective Horology elaborates that “Our goal with the P.04 Lanikai was to create a sports watch that honors Hawaiʻi’s rich tradition of watersport – from surfing to outrigger canoeing – by capturing the unique quality of its waters.” To capture the color, motion, and texture of Hawaii’s waters, Czapek worked with renowned enameler Donzé Cadrans for almost a year to finalize the dial’s design, as well as perfecting the prototype.

Indices are omitted from the already minimalistic watch face of the Antarctique model. While Super-Luminova coated hour and minute hands, the Czapek logo, and a yellow second hand harmoniously illuminate the dial without taking away too much attention. The rest of the timepiece is constructed with all of the Antarctique’s usual features — from the smooth rounded case, and integrated bracelet to the automatic SXH5 in-house movement.

Priced at $26,500 USD, the P.04 “Lanikai” is released in a limited run of 50 pieces only. The timepiece is currently open for pre-order as an exclusive at Collective Horology’s website.
