Jacquemus has launched its first collaborative foray into furniture design. The pieces are a part of the designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, debut interior design efforts. He is known for his vibrant celebration of Provençal living and has partnered with Italian company Exteta to launch his own rendition of the classic Gae Aulenti’s Locus Solus outdoor furniture.

Originally designed in 1964, Jacquemus leads the Objets collection with a re-edition of the four-piece outdoor pieces. The collection features a sunny striped fabric laid across a set of sun loungers. Matching the lounger in a similar off-white structure and yellow striped material is the Locus Solus chair and armchair, which Exteta originally relaunched back in 2017, offering them in various colors and fabrics.

Jacquemus’ design aesthetic famously revolves around playful ideals, reflecting the tranquility of the Mediterranean. In addition to the Gae Aulenti furniture line, a capsule collection titled Objets, designed in conjunction with the Jacquemus Le Raphia collection, is also available. Objets features miscellaneous household items including, vases, plates and trays in earth tones and soft leather, as well as key rings and hair pins taking on floral motifs. The designer also curated a selection of photographs and books that inspired the collection, including a rare portrait of Pablo Picasso and vintage books from the likes of David Hockney, Claude Nori and more.

The collection is now available exclusively on Jacquemus and at its store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.
