Karl Lagerfeld Brand Launches Namesake Luxury Furniture Collection
The collections are named after Lagerfeld’s favorite neighborhoods in Paris.

Karl Lagerfeld‘s namesake brand is launching a luxury furniture line and homeware range. The line will be presented at the Salone del Mobile trade show in Milan later this month.
The furniture line comes after the auction of Karl Lagerfeld’s estate revealed that the late designer had enough furniture to fill a museum. Amongst his private collection was a Jean Prouvé desk, as well as a set of chairs by Philipp Starck for Cassina. The launch of the furniture line will consist of four main collections, each one named after one of Lagerfeld’s favorite neighborhoods in Paris — “Saint Germain” and “Saint Guillaume” for living room and bedroom furniture, “Quai Voltaire” for the kitchen and “Rue de l’Université” for lighting.
The collections are all inspired by Lagerfeld’s own personal approach to interior design, combining classic and historical styles with contemporary pieces. Caroline Lebar, the brand’s VP of Image and Communications who worked with Lagerfeld for nearly 40 years said about Lagerfeld’s furniture, “He was not a collector, he was more someone that was filling a house and his brain with an idea of style. What was special about Karl was that as soon as he was focusing on a period or style, he would become an expert.”
Each of the collection is slated to feature the work of a new guest creator to interpret Lagerfeld’s approach to design. The project will highlight Lagerfeld’s passion for interior design, “a message of love to Karl.” Each pice will be made in Italy and will range from €1,850 EUR to €23,000 EUR. The luxury positioning of the furniture line coincides with the Karl Lagerfeld five-star hotel and residential projects. The collection will be presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan starting on April 23.
