Bulgari Reimagines the Octagonal Watch Case in New Octo Roma Collection
Featuring an automatic model and a chronograph.
Bulgari has opened a new chapter for its octagonal time-tellers with the new Octo Roma collection. Unveiled as a testament to Bulgari’s elegant aesthetics and modern sophistication, the Octo Roma serves to pay homage to Maison’s Roman heritage and prestige roots with a refreshing silhouette.
In terms of design, the Octo Roma has moved on from the Octo Finissimo’s angular and geometric shape, now replaced with a more rounded octagonal form that is unique and distinctive. According to Bulgari, this visual impact is made possible by two distinct yet intricately combined geometric shapes in the case design.
The collection has introduced the Octo Roma Automatic and Octo Roma Chronograph. The former model comes in a 41mm case size and runs on Bulgari’s own BWL 191 automatic mechanical movement. The simple and modern dial is offered in blue, anthracite, and white, which are all enhanced with a Clous de Paris 3D effect.
Similarly, the Octo Roma Chronograph also features a Clous de Paris patterned dial, but only in blue or black. The 42mm timepiece operates on the in-house BVL 399 self-winding calibre, complete with a chronograph function, along with the usual hours, minutes, and small seconds indications.
Both models feature a smoothly integrated screw-down crown and matching stainless steel bracelet that maintains the timepiece’s streamlined aesthetics. Additional straps are available in rubber and alligator leather, spanning various colors that can be purchased individually. The Octo Roma Automatic is priced at $7,300 USD, while the Octa Roma Chronograph retails for $9,150 USD, both currently available for purchase via Bulgari.
