New Era and Yohji Yamamoto's SS23 Collection Spotlights the Dahlia

While defining what it means to wear black.

Yohji Yamamoto and New Era have come together once again for a Spring/Summer 2023 collection centered around the designer’s dahlia flower artwork. Traditionally, the late-season flowers symbolize “finding inner strength,” gifted to individuals about to embark on a new path, while serving as a reminder to stay graceful and kind.

Highlighted in the series are curved visor 9THIRTY® caps and Bucket-01 hats featuring colored dahlia artwork across lightweight polyester. Signature-embroidered variations of the silhouettes utilize windproof PERTEX® materials while 59FIFTY baseball caps incorporate the quote: “Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious. But above all black says this: ‘I don’t bother you – you don’t bother me,’” on the strapless back panel.

Apparel pieces bear the same motifs across coach jackets, pullover hoodies, oversized COOLERA™ performance tees, and fleece half pants. Rounding out the series are lightweight Sacoche bags, Skateboard Urban Packs, and special shopper bags that come complimentary with each purchase.

Look for the Yohji Yamamoto x New Era SS23 collection to release on April 5 via the Yohji Yamamoto online store and select shops. Prices range from ¥14,300 to ¥39,600 JPY (approximately $108 to $300 USD).
