Tiffany & Co. Crafts a Special Silver Shoebox to Celebrate Its Nike Air Force 1 Collab
The one-of-one piece is made from .925 silver and weighs 23 pounds.
When it comes to crossover collaborations, you can leave it to Tiffany & Co. to go the extra mile. It recently teamed up with Nike to introduce a duo of Air Force 1 collaborations — one of which released to the public while the other was made for friends and family — and to celebrate the initiative even further it has crafted a special, one-of-one silver shoebox.
The luxury jewelry label crafted the storage piece by hand in its Rhode Island hollowware workshop. Artisans spent meticulous hours and time — 155 hours to be exact — to bring the piece to life as the design process required a sizable amount of cutting, branding and polishing. It’s made from durable .925 silver and weighs out to 23 pounds. The part that is meant to store the shoes comes styled with silver on the exterior while the interior is done up with a fitting Tiffany blue paint job. The lid bears a tonal Swoosh logo that rests on top while the Tiffany & Co. moniker is hosted on the inside.
You can check out a closer look at how the piece was developed in the video below.
