Lil Baby Delivers Heart-Wrenching "Forever" Music Video
From his most recent album, ‘It’s Only Me.’
After performing the track on Saturday Night Live in January, Lil Baby has returned with a fully-fledged music video for “Forever,” featuring Fridayy. Directed by Cam Busby, the fiery visual is set on a tropical beachside, where the diamond-certified rapper delivers a slew of love-on-the-brain bars.
Seated solo at a late-night, sandy bonfire, Lil Baby longingly delivers his lines into a sea of flames. As the song progresses, the video juxtaposes the rapper’s melancholy with bright shots of his love interest riding a majestic horse on the beach.
“Thinkin’ how we played out/Really I feel off about it but ain’t never said it,” Lil Baby raps about the lover. “We ain’t gotta talk about it/They’ll never know when I’m with you, I play a different role.”
The visual begins to go in reverse and ends with a shot of the couple seated on the beach, wishing that they could go back in time.
The track appears on Lil Baby’s most recent album, It’s Only Me, released in October of last year. The record, which clocks in at an hour and five minutes, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, moving 216,000 equivalent album units.
Notably, the album included a bevy of features from the likes of Nardo Wick on “Pop Out,” Young Thug on “Never Hating,” Fridayy on “Forever,” Future on “From Now On,” Rylo Rodriguez on “Cost to Be Alive,” Jeremih on “Stop Playin,” EST Gee on “Back and Forth” and Pooh Shiesty on “Shiest Talk.”
