Smino To Drop a Sequel Mixtape to 2020's 'She Already Decided'
On the first song from the tape, he freestyles over Beyoncé’s “Me, Myself & I.”
Smino will be releasing a sequel to his 2020 mixtape, She Already Decided. The last tape was intended to serve as a teaser for the rapper’s third studio album and was recorded largely while the rapper was self-isolating due to the pandemic. Despite the quarantine measures, it also packed in features from Sevyn Streeter, T-Pain, Bari, JayBaby TheGreaty and Rizz Capolatti.
This next tape, called S.A.D. 2, will follow up the October LP Luv 4 Rent. While it’s presumably a sequel to the earlier tape as the two have the same title acronym, some fans are speculating that the title of the new tape is actually She Always Dancing.
Along with announcing the forthcoming project, Smino shared the new track “Smi, Myself & I,” which hears him freestyle over the song “Me, Myself & I” from Beyoncé‘s debut studio album Dangerously in Love.
“This sh*t’s a, yeah, service announcement / She always dancin,’” Smino calls out in the intro. “Sh*t, I’m always watchin’ though, what can I say? / You know?”
The freestyle debuted alongside a music video directed by The Film Lord, with a brief cameo appearance from Ab-Soul.
