Nike Unveils New Speed-Focused Vaporfly 3
Launching in the new “Prototype” colorway next month.
Nike has officially released its Vaporfly 3, the all-round racing shoe focused on speed and comfort for runners going the distance.
The updated model for Nike’s classic running shoe features new technical additions that allow athletes to feel a smoother transition, improved stability, as well as more energy return with the new lightweight design. The new design sees a ZoomX midsole and Flyknit yarn upper, featuring refined details that improve the shoe and propel the Vaporfly 3 forward to becoming the leader of the pack.
Those used to the Vaporfly model will find that the Vaporfly 3 features the same feel runners love. The shoe continues to pair a full-length carbon fiber Flyplate with the ZoomX midsole, all while the reductive midsole geometry features a convex shape around the forefoot for more stability and comfort.
Launching first is the “Prototype” colorway which pays tribute to the Nike Running team’s development journey. Arriving in a white mesh Flyknit upper, the shoe features a classic look, including the giant Swoosh highlighted in black against the all-white silhouette, with accents of orange on the underfoot. The colorway is a nod to the first-ever Vaporfly worn at the Breaking 2 test event in 2017.
Look out for the new Nike Vaporfly 3 “Prototype” arriving in select retailers and on Nike on March 6.
In case you missed it, adidas outfits the Rivalry Low 86 in “Core White.”
