JJJJound Previews New Hiking Boot Collab With ROA Hiking
The Montreal-based imprint lends its minimalistic design language to a high-cut hiking boot.
Less than two months into 2023, JJJJound has been on a hot streak as it teamed up with BAPE for a clean BAPE STA team-up and New Balance for a 991 collaboration that was dyed in its signature “Grey” palette. And to continue building on its momentum, Justin Saunders‘ label is looking to cater to the outdoor activities crowd as it has just previewed a collaborative hiking boot with ROA Hiking.
When JJJJound takes on joint ventures, especially in the footwear sphere, it has a penchant for reimagining a brand’s silhouettes with a minimalistic look and feel. This forthcoming SS23 offering is no different as it styles the high-cut offering with an understated color scheme and subtle branding. The bulky boot looks to be crafted with premium leather uppers that are covered in black and comes accented with a white “JJJJound” hit on the lateral quarter panel and hi-vis reflective overlay on the heels. Flecked laces are accessorized with white hits and come secured by glossy black metal D-rings. ROA’s signature logo graces the lateral forefoot in white while a bold yellow Vibram hit is stationed towards the heel of the midsole to nod to its trail-ready outsole.
No release date has been announced yet, but based on past JJJJound unveilings we could see more info pop up in the coming weeks.
