Dior Covers Its B31 Sneakers and Derbys in Waterproof Shrouds
Elevated by injected rubber soles.
After teasing a pair of B31 sneakers with protective shrouds back in December, Dior Men’s Head Footwear Designer Thibo Denis now reveals the same silhouette in black alongside new 3D-printed Carlo Cannage Derbys in the same makeup.
The B31, which has been teased without the shroud as a chunky hiking-inspired sneaker, features robust mesh uppers with a lattice of wavy lines delivering structure across the side panels. A Quicklace system offers easy adjustments and injected rubber soles elevate the shrouded bottoms ever so slightly.
Carlo Cannage Derbys combine the framework of the Dior Warp slip-ons and the silhouette of the recently-revealed 3D-Printed Derbys, featuring the same Quicklace system and water-repellent shrouds as the aforementioned B31 with two pull straps conveniently secured on the heels. In light of recent form-bending introductions such as the CLOT x Nike “CLOTEZ” and MM6 Maision Margiela x Salomon collaboration, the pairs safely tick off multiple footwear categories including slipper, derby, sneaker, and clog.
Take a closer look at the new footwear above and expect the pairs to launch sometime later this year.
