On Christmas Day, Lil Uzi Vert surprise drops a new song tilted “Red Moon” accompanied by a music video. “Red Moon,” which samples Cafune’s “Tek It,” was originally released in an Instagram Live where Uzi shared another track that sampled Drake‘s For All the Dogs cut of “7679” featuring Teezo Touchdown.

Directed by Bel El Be, the heartbreak track sees the Philadelphia rapper putting on their clothes backwards and leaving their apartment to take a long walk through the city. Arriving at the a beach at dusk and later a close up on the rapper, Uzi is seen crying over messages that appear on a screen and read, “If someone can be away from you, let them be. Its [sic] better to be alone than losing yourself for approval. Love isn’t real, but with my imagination, I can make anything real.” The video ends near a hilly mountainside and is clearly a heartbreak anthem with lyrics like “But our love is not the same / Our feelings change like seasons / You tell me that you leavin’.”

The track is produced by TM88, Slo Meezy, C$D Sid, FNZ and Macnificent. The new tracks reflects Uzi’s state of mind while recording his final project Luv Is Rage 3. Watch the music video above.
