Where technical styles continue to reign.

This past August, the Japanese design label F/CE. (Functionality, Culture and Exploration) revealed its Fall/Winter 2023 collection, which had its sights on Denmark for the design inspiration. Typically, the brand moves between countries each season. But with the craft and subsequent reveal of its new Spring/Summer 2024 collection, the brand decided to keep its eyes on Denmark.

Continuing its study of Danish design culture, the new collection expands its focus on functionality and comfort, while still equipping the pieces with contemporary stylings. Comprising the collection is a selection of outerwear, shirting, tops, bottoms and accessories – virtually everything needed to create a complete look. However, what elevates the items, regardless of the garment category, is the brand’s centering on technical fabrications and utilitarian design details, which have remained a brand signature.

As usual, outerwear serves a special collection highlight with pieces like cropped bomber jackets, sleek wrap trench coats, nylon pullovers, zip-up denim jackets, hooded parkas and more. The pieces appear in a lineup of deep natural shades like pine green, slate gray, forest green, azure blue, beige, coral and more. Regardless of the jacket or coat style, the entire lineup has been crafted with a weather-ready mindset.

Even though outerwear always stands tall, pieces like relaxed pants, knitted tops, technical pants and contemporary everyday dresses also make for attractive, functional everyday wear.

Take a look at F/CE.’s new Spring/Summer 2024 collection in the gallery above, which is expected to be released soon.
