Beyoncé's Childhood Houston Home Catches Fire on Christmas Day
The family living there was safely evacuated.

Beyoncé’s childhood home in Houston caught fire early Christmas morning, The Houston Chronicle reported. Located in the Riverside Terrace neighborhood, a call reporting that the home was ablaze was made to the Houston Fire Department around 2 a.m. CST.
The family living in the home was able to escape with no injuries. Firefighters arrived within three to five minutes after the call was made and were able to extinguish the fire burning on the second floor.
Houston Fire Department District Chief Justin Barnes told the Chronicle that the team had it extinguished within ten minutes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Knowles family purchased the home in 1982 when Beyoncé’ was a baby. The singer grew up there alongside her sister Solange, living in the home until she was 5 years old.
In September, Beyoncé made to her two childhood homes visit while in the city for her “RENAISSANCE World Tour.”
