UNIQLO x Marimekko Reimagine Crescent Shoulder Bag for 2024 Collection
Bringing the Finnish brand’s “Kivet” print to UNIQLO’s staple bag.
Since 2018, UNIQLO has collaborated with the Finnish label Marimekko each year. The limited-edition collections are timed to celebrate the new year, bringing Marimekko’s colorful prints to UNIQLO’s practical basics.
The two brands have unveiled their latest reunion collaboration for 2024 and this time around, Marimekko led with an enlarged polka dot print that the label refers to as Kivet, meaning stones. While the collection is designed for women and girls, there are a few unisex items in the mix.
One of them is a thick, relaxed-cut fleece jacket with a beige base layered with cream dots. Another piece reimagines UNIQLO’s Round Mini Shoulder Bag, a genderless crescent-shaped for daily and activewear use.
Featuring the Kivet print, Marimekko’s take on the bag comes in light gray, dark gray and beige colorways, though the latter appears to be more of an ochre. The dots come in a color a few shades lighter than the body, creating a subtle contrast.
Piping ensures that the bag will keep its unique shape regardless of what’s in it, while a waterproof finish protects one’s belongings.
Priced at $19.90 USD, the UNIQLO x Marimekko 2024 shoulder bag, as well as the rest of the collection, will launch online and in-store on January 4.
