Nike Is Bringing Back the Air Max Plus "Sunset"
In celebration of its 25th anniversary.
Nike is getting nostalgic and is bringing back an iconic 1998 colorway for the Air Max Plus. The Air Max Plus is arriving in the “Sunset” colorway, returning initially in 2018 and now six years later for 2024, according to sources.
The “Sunset” colorway draws inspiration from one of nature’s greatest phenomenons, where Sean McDowell looked towards the stunning sunsets of Florida’s beaches. Boasting a black TPU overlay that mimics swaying palm trees, the upper mesh panels also sport a vibrant orange gradient hue to represent the sun’s fading glow. The shoe’s midsole shank is an abstract mirror of a whale’s tail emerging from the water. The shoe sits on Air Max cushioning units for added comfort.
Expect the Nike Air Max Plus “Sunset” to touch down for $180 USD at select retailers and online at Nike.
