Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready to enter the new NBA season with new kicks. Leaning into his familial ties and childhood memories, Giannis and his brothers were often synonymous with the nickname “Alphabet Soup” due to the difficulty those back home had with pronouncing their last name. As a nod to the first signature silhouette, the “Alphabet Bros” colorway finds itself on the Zoom Freak 5.

The shoe is dressed with an almost all burgundy based hue that draws on the exact same color palette as the Immortality series. Continuing the “Dark Team Red” palette through the entirety of the upper, the shoe is constructed with a mesh base and the stitched leather overlay and tongue construction. The midsole sees a warm cream tone, matching the tongue and the heel’s Nike Air branding. A pastel-based lilac color highlights the inner heel’s Swoosh as well as the right foot’s laces. A string of alphabet letters cover the Swoosh while the shoe sits atop a deep red outsole.

Look out for the Nike Zoom Freak 5 “Alphabet Bros” arriving on November 11 at select retailers and online at Nike for $130 USD.

In other footwear news, the Nike Air Max 1 ‘86 OG Golf “Royal” has an official 2024 release date.
