Take a Closer Look at Soho House’s Baroque-Inspired Mexico City Locale

Members club Soho House has officially opened the doors to its first location in Latin America, Soho House Mexico City. Located in the historic neighborhood of Colonia Juárez, the club is situated in a restored casa full of French influences and was developed in collaboration with local architecture firm Sordo Madaleno.

For its interior, designers curated a mix of vintage pieces with artisan creations from local vendors. Reflecting the talent of the region also leads the sprawling art collection, which comprises over 150 pieces from artists native to or based in Mexico.

A sunny family-style dining room is situated near the pool for post-swim eats but the main restaurant is truly one of the draws of the space. It’ll serve up contemporary Mexican cuisine with Christopher Kostow at the helm, a three-Michelin starred chef and recipient of a James Beard Award.

True to Soho House locations everywhere, the space also features multiple bars. One is situated in the courtyard, while another serves as the main bar for guests to meet and is attached to the music room. There’s also a bar dedicated solely to slinging tequila and a vinyl bar housed in the casa’s former wine cellar.

At the center of it all is the serene 62-square-foot outdoor pool. The columns of the casa act as a Baroque backdrop, dotted with fresh greenery and encircled with lounge chairs for a day well spent under the sun.

Soho House Mexico City offers accommodation as well, though space is limited. There are just four bedrooms located on the second floor, available for members only.
